By Lissette Ramsey – Wife, Mother, Partner, Fighter
“Sometimes, the climb isn’t just his — it’s ours.”
There are moments in this climb where my voice isn’t enough — where my story alone can’t capture the depth of what we’ve been through. My wife, Lisette, has been by my side through every twist and turn. She’s seen me at my strongest and at my breaking point. She’s carried weight that most people will never understand — as a wife, a mother, a partner, and a dreamer herself. This page is hers. Her space. Her truth. Today, I step aside and let her speak.
Holding on When Life Gets Hard
September 28, 2025
I’ve been watching my husband fight battles that most people will never see. Some days, it feels like we’re both standing at the edge, holding on for dear life, trying to keep our family together. When Tommy quit his job, it wasn’t because he wanted to. It was because he had to — because he was put in a position where every move he made was questioned, where his worth was constantly challenged. I saw the toll it took on him.And then, when the job we were counting on didn’t come through… my heart dropped. But I never stopped believing in him. I believe in Tommy. I believe in us.This climb isn’t just his journey. It’s ours. And I’ll be right here, every step of the way.
My Reflection:
Reading Lissette’s words reminds me why I fight so hard. This isn’t just my climb — it’s our climb. Every setback, every victory, every sleepless night — we carry it together. And together, we rise.
